MEXICO

Mexico is a country between the U.S. and Central America that’s known for its Pacific and Gulf of Mexico beaches and its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts and jungles. Ancient ruins such as Teotihuacán and the Mayan city of Chichén Itzá are scattered throughout the country, as are Spanish colonial-era towns.

We visited Mexico about seven times between 2012 and most recently in 2020. We have been to Cabo San Lucas, a resort city on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula known for its beaches, water-based activities and nightlife; Mazatlán, a resort town along the Pacific shoreline in the state of Sinaloa; Cozumel, a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea which is a popular cruise ship port of call; and Puerto Vallarta, a resort town on the Pacific coast, in Jalisco state known for its beaches, water sports and nightlife scene. We stayed at Villa del Palmar Cancun, Villa de Palmar Cabo, Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta, and Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán Beach Resort. We’ve also visited several times on cruises. We enjoyed ourselves every time we visited Mexico, while relaxing on the beach, snorkeling or exploring the country. Most notably, we visited Chichén Itzá, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, located in Tinúm Municipality, Yucatán State.

Our latest visit was the end of December 2020 through the New Year to bring in 2021. We stayed for 2 weeks, the first week in Puerto Vallarta and the second week in Cancun. While we’ve been to Mexico several times, this time was the first time we traveled as family with our daughter Nubia.  This was her third country visited and fourth time flying. We visited the iconic town of Tulum and was not disappointed with its beauty. Tulum is a town on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its beautiful pristine white sand beaches and well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. The combination of the white sand beaches and the turquoise sea will make you absolutely love Tulum, Mexico.
