Canada is a North American country stretching from the U.S. in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north. Major cities include massive Toronto, west coast film center Vancouver, French-speaking Montréal and Québec City, and capital city Ottawa. Canada’s vast swaths of wilderness include lake-filled Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains. It’s also home to Niagara Falls, a famous group of massive waterfalls.
Niagara Falls is a city on the Niagara River, known for Niagara Falls, which is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the American state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Toronto Downtown and the Hilton Niagara Falls/Falls View Hotel and Suites, when they visited in September 2018. We loved exploring the city of Toronto, including the CN Tower, the 3D Toronto sign in Nathan Phillips Square, Casa Loma, the Ontario Legislative Building and Queens Park. In Niagara Falls, we had amazing views of both sides of the falls, NY and Canada, from our suite at the Hilton. We sailed to the falls on the Horn Blower and journeyed behind the falls.
