French Polynesia, comprises more than 100 islands in the South Pacific, is known for their coral-fringed lagoons and over-water bungalow hotels. Island features include white- and black-sand beaches, mountains and towering waterfalls. Mo’orea is part of the French Polynesia’s Society Islands archipelago. It’s known for its jagged volcanic mountains and sandy beaches. We visited Moo’rea, French Polynesia, in April 2014 for our honeymoon and stayed in an over-water bungalow at the Hilton Moo’rea. We enjoyed the beautiful beaches, snorkeling, rode an ATV through the forests and swam with stingrays and reef sharks.
