India is a vast South Asian country with diverse terrain – from Himalayan peaks to Indian Ocean coastline – and history reaching back 5 millennia. In the north, Mughal Empire landmarks include Delhi’s Red Fort complex and massive Jama Masjid mosque, plus Agra’s iconic Taj Mahal mausoleum. We visited India in November 2017 and stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Gurganon – New Delhi NCR. We explored the India Gate and Humayuns-Tomb in New Delhi, Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal in Jaipur and the Taj Mahal (one of the 7 wonders of the world) and Agra Fort in Agra.
